Data Deletion

Last updated: January 29, 2026

At Postmore, we respect your right to control your data. This page explains what data we store, how to disconnect integrations, and how to request complete account deletion.

What data does Postmore store?

When you use Postmore, we store:

  • Account data: Email address, authentication identifiers, password hash (never plaintext), subscription status
  • Connected platform data: Account/page/channel identifiers, access tokens, refresh tokens, page tokens, token expiry timestamps
  • Content data: Scheduled posts, captions, media you upload to Postmore, post status, scheduling information
  • Analytics data: Performance metrics and insights for your connected accounts (if available)
  • Support communications: Emails you send to support@postmore.fun

For more details about how we collect and use this data, please see our Privacy Policy.

What does "deletion" mean in Postmore?

Important: Postmore can delete or de-identify data we control in our own database and storage systems.

However, Postmore cannot guarantee deletion of content already posted to third-party platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube. If you want to remove posts from those platforms, you must delete them directly through each platform's interface.

By using Postmore to post to third-party platforms, you agree to their respective terms and policies. For more information, see our Terms of Service.

Disconnecting a social account

When you disconnect a platform integration inside Postmore (via Settings → Social Media Connections), the following happens immediately:

  • All access tokens, refresh tokens, and page tokens for that platform are permanently removed from Postmore's database
  • Postmore can no longer publish posts, fetch analytics, or take any actions on your behalf for that platform
  • The connection is marked as "disconnected" in our system
  • You must reconnect the platform to resume posting or analytics

Note: Disconnecting does not delete posts already published to third-party platforms or content drafts saved in Postmore. To delete those, see the account deletion section below.

How to delete your account

Option 1: Self-Serve Deletion (Recommended)

You can delete your account through the Postmore app:

  1. Log in to your Postmore account
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner
  3. Select Profile Settings
  4. Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section
  5. Click "Delete Account"
  6. Follow the confirmation steps (you'll need to type your email address to confirm)

This process is immediate and permanent. We delete your data from our primary systems right away and sign you out automatically. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30–90 days as part of normal backup rotation.

Option 2: Email Request (Alternative)

If you're unable to access your account or prefer to contact us directly, you can email:

support@postmore.fun

Subject line: Data Deletion Request

Include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your Postmore account
  • A brief description of what you want deleted (full account deletion vs. specific data)
  • Any additional context that helps us process your request

Response time: We will respond to your deletion request within 48 hours, Monday–Friday.

Verification: To protect your account security, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing a deletion request.

What happens when your account is deleted?

When we process your account deletion request, we will:

  • Delete or de-identify your user profile data in Postmore systems
  • Remove all connected social platform tokens and identifiers stored by Postmore (e.g., Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn/YouTube connections)
  • Delete media you uploaded to Postmore (images, videos, documents)
  • Delete scheduled content, drafts, and brainstorm ideas stored in Postmore
  • Delete analytics data associated with your account
  • Permanently delete your Postmore account from our primary systems

We may retain minimal billing/payment records as described below.

Important: Content already posted to third-party platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) must be deleted directly on those platforms. Postmore cannot remove posts from external services after they've been published.

Each platform has its own data retention policies. For details about your rights and responsibilities, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Data retention and exceptions

  • Disconnected integrations: Access tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect a platform integration. No waiting period.
  • Email deletion requests: We target completion within 30 days of your request, though many deletions complete faster. Self-serve deletion is processed immediately in our primary systems.
  • Backups and logs: Some data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time (30–90 days) and will be purged on our normal backup rotation schedule.
  • Billing and payment records: We retain minimal billing/payment records (such as Stripe customer IDs, subscription status, and transaction references) as required for accounting, tax compliance, and legal obligations. These records may include limited payment-related identifiers (for example, payment method metadata), but we do not store full card numbers. Retention follows standard financial recordkeeping requirements.
  • Legal and security exceptions: In rare cases, we may retain minimal data if required for:
    • Fraud prevention or security investigations
    • Compliance with legal obligations
    • Resolving billing disputes or chargebacks
In these cases, we retain only the minimum data necessary.

Automated cleanup

Postmore runs daily automated cleanup jobs to ensure disconnected integrations have their tokens fully removed, even if an edge case prevented immediate deletion. This is a defense-in-depth measure to protect your data.
